1. The chemical composition is unqualified, and the industrial aluminum profile extruded from the aluminum rod with a large amount of waste aluminum has excessive impurities, and the iron content is too high, which will cause the aluminum to be dark and dull, and the hardness is not up to the standard. . The hardness standard of 6063 aluminum profile is 8-12HW. Such industrial aluminum profiles cannot meet this hardness requirement. It can be tested with a Webster hardness tester.
2. The film thickness is unqualified. In order to reduce the cost of electricity bills and reduce the oxidation time, some businesses have caused the unqualified oxide film thickness and affected the corrosion resistance of industrial aluminum. The normal film thickness should not be less than 10μ. In addition, the sealing time is not enough, and poor sealing will also affect the corrosion resistance and anti-pollution performance of the aluminum profile. To check the film thickness, you can use a thickness gauge or a salt spray test to check the corrosion resistance. Poor sealing can be done with a ballpoint pen on the surface of the industrial aluminum profile. If it is not easy to clean it, it means that the sealing is not good.
3. The wall thickness is unqualified. Some merchants’ industrial aluminum profiles are priced by meters, so the thinner the wall thickness, the lower the cost. The wall thickness of qualified industrial aluminum profiles is strictly controlled in accordance with the drawings and cannot exceed the tolerance. range. It can be detected by measuring the wall thickness of the aluminum profile with a caliper.
4. The shape and position tolerances are unqualified. This is generally because the manufacturer's technical level needs to be improved. It may be that the extruder is too old, the mold design is unreasonable, and the extrusion ratio is unreasonable. Out-of-tolerance of shape and position tolerance will cause the industrial aluminum profile and the parts to be loosely matched, or even unusable. Geometric tolerances can still be measured with calipers, especially important dimensions must be strictly tested.
